The EMF team is now on-site wrestling with canvas and cables ahead of your arrival. They’re hot, sweaty, and already have fibre to at least one tent.

Workshop lottery is go

Workshops at EMF are wildly popular, so to make getting into them fairer we run a lottery for 50% of the places, with the other 50% being first-come-first-served on the day.

You can now enter the lottery for any ticketed workshop by clicking “Enter lottery”, and once you’ve registered all of the workshops you’d like to apply for you can set your order of preference.

This is not the same as favouriting things, so please don’t think you’ve already entered the workshop lottery!

We will draw the workshop lottery on Monday 13th July. Each winner will win two tickets to a single workshop.

As well as the ticketed workshops we’ll have a range of drop-in workshops you can turn up to any time, and don’t forget many villages will be running their own workshops too!

Bring your electronic instruments

This year we have a new music venue for people who like playing around with electronic music - everything from modular synthesisers, to algorave, to that thing you attached a contact microphone to, and even (whisper it) traditional instruments that you can amp up.

Bring along synths, sequencers, stylophones, spectrums, and signal generators of any kind, and there will be a space for you to play short gigs and jam with others. We’ll also be hosting workshops for people who are new to making strange electronic music.

We’ll be announcing more details of how this works next week.

Don’t forget to buy your merch

We’ve still got some merch on sale, like pin badges, t-shirts, and tildagons.

Also car parking tickets. Which you will need if you want to park a car.

The blacksmiths are now fully booked!

As usual, the blacksmiths were overwhelmed by the number of people wanting to hit metal with other bits of metal.

All of the bookable places are now sold out, but people with them may drop out. To find out about these do check the sign outside the blacksmithing area during the festival.

And now, the weather forecast

Please don’t assume that EMF will be hot. Or cold. Or wet. Or dry. It’ll probably be at least two of those things and we won’t know which until afterwards.

Please come prepared for the full range of British weather - just in case. We will be posting an update with site conditions and a forecast next week.
