Electromagnetic Field is two weeks away!
Hello!
There’s only two weeks to go and somehow we still have plenty more to announce…
Getting into the UK
If you are travelling from the EU you probably don’t need to get a visa, but you probably DO need to get an ETA: https://www.gov.uk/eta
This is a new requirement since the last EMF - make sure you apply at least 3 working days before you set off. If you’re unsure whether you require a visa please check.
Family Workshops and NullSector DJs announced
We’ve published the drop-in family workshops you’ll find in the Family Area, as well as all the DJs you’ll be dancing to in NullSector this year.
Installation submissions close Friday
You have until Friday 3rd July to send us details of your installations. We’ve had hundreds of amazing submissions already - but it’s not too late to tell us about your Apollo capsule replica!
Order your t-shirts, pin badges and Tildagons
EMF 2026 t-shirt and pin badge pre-orders are now open. We’ll only have a very limited number for sale in the field, so if you desperately want to wear our space-swag make sure you order in advance.
There’s also a small number of Tildagon badge kits remaining if you’ve forgotten to pick one up.
Bring out your junk
The infamous EMF Swap Shop will be running throughout the weekend - bring odd things you don’t want, and take weird things you do in return for a donation to charity.
Anything goes, no matter how unusual - but please remember that if nobody takes your donations it’s your responsibility to take them home again at the end of the weekend. Also, we don’t want a repeat of last time. You know what we mean.
Electromagnetic Telecom
Mobile phone coverage at the festival is poor, so our own Telecommunications provider provides free wireless and wired services to the entire site - everything from phone calls, to fax, to dial-up internet access for your Apple II.
To use the phone network you’ll need to bring a compatible device such as a cordless DECT landline phone, mobile phone with a spare SIM slot, SIP device, or old-school wired phone, fax machine, or modem.
You can register your number now on phones.emfcamp.org. If you have questions about connecting please contact us.
Publish your events
Anybody attending EMF can add things to the public schedule!
This year you can list talks, workshops, performances, music, and meetups in your village or several public areas - including the bar.
Your listings won’t be visible to other attendees until the schedule is published, but you can add things now.
If you’d prefer to wait until the main schedule is published so you can avoid clashing with your favourite talks, that’s also fine - you’ll be able to add things and edit details throughout EMF.
Blacksmithing sign-up
The Urban Crafts Foundation are back again running classes on traditional blacksmithing and copper bowl making.
To book you must email them - instructions and a schedule are now available. They say “We’re anticipating a high volume of emails, and will try to reply to everybody but if you don’t receive a response please assume you haven’t been successful.”
This year they are generously offering four free spaces for those who are otherwise unable to afford it:
- Thursday 16th - Copper bowl - 14:00-16:00
- Friday 17th - Blacksmithing - 16:00-17:30
- Saturday 19th - Blacksmithing - 10:30-12:00
- Sunday 20th - Blacksmithing - 14:30-16:00
These will be allocated first come first serve. Please email content@emfcamp.org to claim a space only if you are otherwise unable to afford this activity, have not done it before, and can attend on the day/time requested. Again, please assume you are unsuccessful unless we email you.
Join a village
Villages are groups of people who want to camp together, for any reason: friend groups, real-world clubs and organisations, or just people with a common interest. You can find registered villages, or register your own on the website.
If you’d like to join an existing village, you can request to join some villages by clicking “Request to Join”. This will send the village your email address, so they can pass on details if they’re happy for you to join them. Villages are under no obligation to take on members, and if there is no “Request to Join” button it means the village is private.
Sponsors
We’d like to thank our Palladium and Gold sponsors.
Palladium
Gold

Badge
In addition to our sponsors above, we’d like to thank these sponsors of the EMF badge specifically:
Following recent news, we have cancelled Mullvad’s sponsorship of EMF 2026. We would like to thank everyone who has supported EMF as an individual in light of this.
Supporting EMF as an individual
In addition to sponsorship, you can support EMF as an individual at the self-service sponsors page. Anything you give us will be used to fund projects that make the festival more fun for everyone.
Stay up to date
You can keep up with all the EMF social media accounts at fediwall.emf.camp - expect a lot of sneak previews over the coming weeks.
Help! I don’t understand what’s going on
If you’ve got any burning questions about EMF, please get in touch. You can also read all our previous emails (and other bits) on our blog.
See you in the field soon!
Love, The EMF Team
